Color : Red

Grapes varieties :

  • Grenache : 70 %

  • Syrah : 30 %

The soil is a mix of clay and limestone, where the vineyards have a south, southwest exposure.

Vinification :

This wine is made from vines around 40-60 years old. The Carignan vineyard is around 70 years old. The harvest is de-stemmed and aged in concrete vats during 8-10 months.

This method consists in concentrating the fruit to obtain very aromatic wines.

This wine ages well for 3-5 years, depending upon the year and the clients’ individual taste.

Tasting notes :

The robe is nice red cherry at burlat sheen with a pleasant nose on raspberry.

Its mouth is smooth and full dominated by a violet associated to notes of candied pomegranate. This Rasteau is best with beef, calf’s liver pie or with mushrooms fricassee.
